INTER-HOUSE FOLK DANCE COMPETITION

A spectacular Inter-House Folk- Dance Competition was organized in St. Stephen's School, Togan to mark Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsava Independence Day. It was a well-planned and superbly choreographed event where the students from the four houses- Jupiter, Mars, Neptune and Saturn competed with a great sense of patriotism and excitement.
The event was organized in two categories- Category-1(Class 1-3) and Category-2 ( (Class 4-XII). The vibrant and colourful costumes based on the rich states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Rajasthan, Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh and Goa were beyond any explanation. The music and rhythm, expressions and movements, co-ordination, props, artistic potential and charisma were commendable aspects of the event. The distinguished feature of the event was the enthusiasm of the students. It was an amazing programme that was enjoyed by everyone.
Director Mr Harold Carver, Managing Trustee Ms Diana Carver, Principal Roy da Silva and the teachers commended the discipline and the sense of participation that each student showed from the time of practice till the completion of the event.
